COLOMBO-(Reuters) Pakistan completed a 2-0 series sweep against Sri Lanka on Thursday with a dominating victory by an innings and 222 runs with to Noman Ali’s career-best 7-70.

After surrendering a 410-run lead, Sri Lanka’s defeat was inevitable, and left-arm spinner Noman wove a web around the batsmen at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) venue as Pakistan romped home in four days.

Angelo Mathews stayed undefeated on 63, but Sri Lanka were all out for 188 in the second innings after scoring 166 in the first.

Earlier on day four, Pakistan batted for two overs, allowing Mohammad Rizwan to complete his half-century before declaring on 576-5.

After opener Abdullah Shafique’s career-best 201 lay the framework for Pakistan’s massive score, Agha Salman remained unbeaten on 132.
