BAHAWALPUR, (APP): On Thursday, 70 Majalis of Ahura Moharram-ul-Haram of category-C were celebrated, and 33 processions were organized throughout the Bahawalpur district.
More than 4400 police officers and volunteers worked to ensure the safety of these Majalis and processions.
A three-tier security strategy was devised, according to District Police Officer Bahawalpur Syed Muhammad Abbas, and the Dolphin Squad, Elite Force, and Eagle Squad patrolled to ensure protection. Snipers were stationed in buildings along procession routes. He stated that the DPO office has set up a control room for quick communication and reaction.
